ROUNDS enter Sub-Saharan Africa by announcing expanded RLCS 2026 roster; Renshiro re-signs

In perhaps the biggest expansion of the organization’s history, ROUNDS Rocket League moves to SSA for 2026.

Did you see this coming?

Yes, that’s right. ROUNDS Rocket League will officially compete in the Rocket League Championship Series’ 2026 Season in the region of Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). For the upcoming season, a new rule change forces all rosters to field a majority of players who are residents or citizens of the region they are competing in. In the case of ROUNDS, this is made possible by signing ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ South African Kamran Christopher “kamz” Naidoo and ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช Rรฉunionese Enzo “Wiiilooo” Tremblay, while keeping the team’s longest-standing member and current Champion of Finland Jesse “Renshiro” Rissanen as the sole ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Finnish representative. In addition, ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท French coach Lรฉonard “Leoxyyyy” Joubert is taking charge.

We welcome kamz, Wiiilooo and Leoxyyyy with open arms knowing what they are capable of. With previous World Championship and Esports World Cup appearances, the African duo and European coach are ready to take ROUNDS into new heights in the world of Rocket League, higher than those we’ve achieved in EU and APAC beforehand. As for Renshiro, I don’t think the man needs much of an introduction, he embodies the Tampere-based โ€“ World Class slogan. Renshiro is ROUNDS, and ROUNDS is Renshiro.

ROUNDS is super excited to be a part of helping the region grow as a serious contender in esports, making moves globally. More legitimate organizations in SSA will promote better competition and higher levels of seriousness now that at least 2/3 of the rosters have to reside in the region. Our players, staff, and management are all about the support, progress and development of the region and the African Rocket League scene as a whole, and feel proud about getting the chance to represent it as a part of ROUNDS’s plans of expanding abroad.

This move, however, does not signal the end of our commitment to the Finnish scene, as we also plan to compete in domestic tournaments again moving forward. The roster mentioned in today’s announcement is the flagship in ROUNDS Rocket League, aimed at RLCS. More news on how ROUNDS plans to go on about competition in Finland in 2026 will be shared at a later date, but it’s going to be exciting for sure!

It’s confirmed, from Tampere to the world,
ROUNDS will compete in SSA RLCS 2026 with:

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Jesse Renshiro Rissanen
๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Kamran Christopher kamz Naidoo
๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช Enzo Wiiilooo Tremblay
(C) ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Lรฉonard Leoxyyyy Joubert
