Welcome to ROUNDS CS2: Lapa

The fifth to fill in the gap in the ROUNDS CS2 roster, Lapa previously played for “RoundsUNITY” back in CS:GO.

Jami “Lapa” Hellqvist re-enters the ROUNDS organization, joining the main lineup after Joel “Jelo” Lentonen‘s exit. Most famous for his recent ventures with “Eternal 21“, Lapa has already made it all the way to HLTV-covered matches alongside melty, LapaSSS, Hattivatti, and AhMa back in May 2026. Also, to some dedicated ROUNDS followers, Lapa may be a familiar name already, as he used to play for the original 2023 RoundsUNITY roster. Now, with green-hearted history, he’s back to take on the big stage.

The following introduction interview with Lapa was conducted over the weekend, and is translated from Finnish.

Welcome in! What are your general thoughts on this project and what goals have you set for yourself and the team?

“Really excited to get involved in this project to test my own limits and the team’s possibilities. The goal now is to first map out what I’m capable of and develop my own game going forward. And of course, to do well in future tournaments, for example the Elisa Esports BreakOut Series.”

You used to play in ROUNDS’ “Unity” lineup. Was this a big part of your move back or why did you choose ROUNDS as your next team?

“My Unity roots didn’t really influence the decision, but it certainly made it easier to know what to expect from the organization and the team. I also see this as a complete and clear step forward.”

For those who don’t know you yet, what kind of player are you? What roles do you prefer to take on, and what is the best achievement of your career so far?

“In general, I am a very calm and team-oriented player. I prefer to play lurk and anchor positions. My best achievement is probably qualifying for the playoffs at the Parken Challenger Championship 8 in Denmark.”
