Alxx: “We don’t care who we play”

We catched up with Alxx and Renshiro, live from Assembly Summer 2026 ahead of the eSM 2026 in Espoo.

So lads, you’ve now finished your one-day bootcamp at Heimo Esports’ office in preparation. How was it?

Alxx: “It was fantastic. We were supposed to have a tournament at first, but we arrived late for it, so instead we had full focus on ranked. We enjoyed it a lot, which you can tell from how much time we spent there.”

Renshiro: “Yeah, we genuinely stayed from 11pm to 3am. Even got to play some pool there.”

You’re the current champions heading into eSM 2026 attempting a title defence. What’s different from last year?

Alxx: “There are more teams, more new players trying to make a name for themselves. But just like last year, we don’t care who we play against.”

Renshiro: “Obviously the only goal for us is to win it all again. There has never been a back-to-back winner in eSM history, so now it’s time for us to break that pattern.”

I understand that while eSM means a lot, it’s also just one tournament in the calendar. Where do you see yourself at the end of 2026?

Alxx: “My long-time goal has been to hit Top 16 [in RLCS]. I’ve been a bit frustrated not having reached that point yet. But I also recognize that one must enjoy the game first, and worry about the results later.”

Renshiro: “For me the autumn season will be a lot of heavy focus on the national team events with Team Finland, FIFAe first, and then the Esports Nations Cup, for which Finland already received a direct invite. We will wait for the format to be revealed before commenting on what happens next RLCS season.”
