Ykis: “Just one event among the others”

Ykis and Monoxx speak on their upcoming Elisa Esports BreakOut Series matches the night before the showdown.

So, s1mple’s BC.Game ahead tomorrow. How have you guys prepared for this tournament?

Ykis: “When we don’t have a bootcamp, we’ve tried to practice online as much as possible.”

Monoxx: “We’ve tried to hone our game more. We’ve concentrated much more on the small details lately.”

The entire event is quite a challenge. What are your goals personally? What would leave you satisfied?

Ykis: “The ultimate goal is winning the entire thing, of course. But satisfaction? That’s probably fulfilled by reaching the playoffs I’d say. But we will take it one game at a time.”

Monoxx: “I agree with playoffs leaving us all content with it. Everything extra on top of that would just be a plus. It’s a tough group though, as we’d likely need to beat one of the big two [BC.Game or HAVU].”

Is the Elisa Esports BreakOut Series somehow different or special to you, being played here at Assembly?

Monoxx: “I don’t necessarily think it feels any different compared to other events. But of course there’s the fact that BC.Game is here, and that already by itself is a big opportunity. I’d call it more opportune, rather than different otherwise.”

Ykis: “For me? It’s just one event among the others.”
