MARCH NEWS ROUNDUP: Assembly Aftermath and checking in on ROUNDS Future

Assembly Winter 2026 concluded in February, and ROUNDS Future played a LAN tournament at Bar Lategame.

This article will consist of the things that have been left unsaid so far on rounds.gg. Check out the other news for things that we have already covered, such as Soaring to new heights in both Counter-Strike and Rocket League for the great results our CS2 and RL teams have had recently!

ROUNDS and LastOnline attend Assembly Winter

As mentioned in the last news roundup for February, Assembly, or “Assyt”, is Finland’s largest digital festival, organized biannually. It’s a convention featuring bookable desk spots to bring in your own PC and have a proper LAN party experience, as well as an expo hall side of things with booths from various brands and organizations, also for those merely visiting with a day pass. This time, about a month ago for Assembly Winter 2026, the staff of ROUNDS headed to the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre to not only upkeep the LastOnline blood donation bus stand, but also ROUNDS’s very own one too.

To recap; in collaboration with the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service, LastOnline once again brought out the blood donation campaign to the heart of Assembly. On that booth we had the blood donation bus, snacks and drinks, a lounge area, the original bench football game Subsoccer, UNEVN gaming PCs and even some daily challenges with prizes from the headphone manufacturer Valco. One of the challenges featured the chance to 1v1 ROUNDS’ CS2 player and current champion of Finland title holder Joel “Jelo” Lentonen, which spawned quite the queue in front of the booth!

The LastOnline blood donation campaign managed 86 blood donors as well as 36 people finding out their blood type! We would like to massively thank every participant, as well as Assembly Organizing, Valco, Subsoccer, Red Bull Suomi, Cosa Nostra Crew and of course the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service.

For many people Subsoccer was a new but fun attraction. It’s essentially two benches facing each other with football goals under them and the goal is to kick the ball into the opponent’s net while sitting on top of your own goal. First to three goals wins.

ROUNDS’s own booth, directly facing LastOnline on the other side of the hallway, introduced the convention visitors to Nuvoo, who offer refurbished computers with up to 2 years of warranty. Nuvoo partnered up with ROUNDS for Assembly to bring event attendees a laptop giveaway, as well as other challenge prizes. The name of the game at this year’s booth was Counter-Strike 1.6, as people got to dive into nostalgia with 1v1s throughout the entire course of the event, as well as a special long jump contest on Saturday!

ROUNDS Future place second at Bar Lategame LAN

Esports bar and gaming cafe Bar & Cafe Lategame hosted a Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament in their Tampere space and our juniors ROUNDS Future attended the event. The games were played on the Friday and Saturday of 6th of March and 7th of March respectively. It was the first LAN experience for Future as far as officials go, only having pracced together at our office beforehand. It was a very different feeling event compared to for example NUKE-Liiga, but the players liked the staff and catering very much!

Well how did it go for our young guns then? On day one, we swept the competition. A long Friday saw us close out the group stage with a 3-0 scoreline. On Saturday we also dominated the quarter- and semi-finals, going 2-0 in both of them. The final unfortunately didn’t swing our way, as in a tight affair we dropped two maps 11-13 to “Los Martas”. Still, we feel like it was important experience for the future of Future (pun not intended).

This event was also vlogged, and will be out on ROUNDS’ YouTube channel as early as this week! Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it.
