Match Report: ROUNDS’ playoff run concludes at the hands of OLDBOYS PL

ROUNDS have suffered a defeat in 0-2 fashion to the Polish squad and have hence been eliminated from ESEA Advanced.

ROUNDS are out of the ESEA Advanced Season 57 Europe Playoffs after losing to OLDBOYS PL 0-2 in the lower round 3. Naturally the lower bracket is the second chance, and therefore a defeat in it means the tournament is now done for us. However, it must be stated that we can be very happy with this result, to make it this far into the playoffs in our first season back at the top level of ESEA competition. More on that later in a separate article!

OLDBOYS PL played with two substitutions, as rallen and Goofy were replaced by gwizdakk and darko. Mirage was once again not needed, but not in the way we wanted. The decider was left unplayed after OLDBOYS PL took home their map pick of Nuke 4-13, and our chosen Inferno 10-13. We gave them a much better fight on the latter, but it was not enough this time around, they were just better on the day. OLDBOYS PL will now continue in the lower bracket instead of us and go on to face Team Falcons’ academy team Falcons Force.

Right now, it’s time for a short summer break for us CS-wise. The next scheduled events we have include the following ESEA Advanced season, as well as the Elisa Esports BreakOut Series at Assembly Summer 2026. We will share more information regarding these events closer to their start dates, as well as any additional ones we may enter in the meantime.
