Jelo departs ROUNDS CS2 amidst rostermania season

ROUNDS CS2 is also going through a roster move, as we bid farewell to Jelo.

Joel “Jelo” Lentonen is leaving the ROUNDS main CS2 roster, effective immediately. We will be ready to reveal more details about the upcoming new-look ROUNDS CS2 soon. We would like to express immense gratitude towards Jelo for his efforts, as his experience and input proved valuable in helping us break into possibly our best period yet as a Counter-Strike organization, also gaining our righteous spot back in ESEA Advanced from ESEA Main.

Jelo joined us in October of 2025, and spent the following seasons travelling to events and gaining VRS ranking with us. He has also been an incredible force in the world of streaming, and we will for sure tune into his Twitch channel in the future as well! Having met the man in person a couple times, I enjoyed his presence quite a lot. A down-to-earth person always ready to help us off the server too, for example at the LastOnline blood donation bus booth at Assembly.

I caught up with Jelo after the news broke out internally. The questions and answers are translated from Finnish.

How do you feel about what you achieved in ROUNDS and how did you and the team develop during your stay?

“It was a pleasure to represent ROUNDS and get to know all the people in it. I made new acquaintances and friends, and I learned a lot of new things in terms of gameplay. As a team, we made a lot of progress and achieved many goals. Personally, I developed a lot as a player and as a person. I learned to gain confidence in my own gameplay, to see things from new perspectives, and to strengthen my vision of the game. I also learned to take much more responsibility for the game and everyday life.”

Remind us why you chose ROUNDS in the first place, and do you feel satisfied with that choice now in retrospect?

“I chose ROUNDS because the organization and its operations always seemed good from the outside. Now, from the inside, I can say for sure that’s the case. I got to know new people and I’m much more prepared as a player than I was before this journey together. I’m really happy with what I got out of our time together.”

Any final words? Personally, from the media side of things, it was always really nice and easy to work with you.

“Thank you to all ROUNDS employees and players and in general to everyone who has supported and followed our journey. I want to wish everyone a good future in ROUNDS.”

In the ROUNDS family, there’s always room for Jelo.
